Frequently Asked Questions

How safe/LGBTQI+ friendly is Budapest?

While Hungary has been in the news in the past year over political debates on graduate education around gender, the city of Budapest itself has a large, visible LGBTQI+ community. Large, peaceful Pride events occur annually. Please feel free to reach out to the organizers if you have any specific questions or concerns.

What's the restroom situation?

The event venue has confirmed that every floor contains All Gender restrooms in addition to restrooms with gender markings.
